Homemade Hamburger Buns

So scrumptious, you'll never want store-bought again! Also great with jam.

Steps

1
Done

Activate Yeast

Add water (make sure it is warm, but not hot - that will kill the yeast and also kill your bread), milk, sugar and yeast in a mixing bowl and let sit 10 min.

2
Done

Add salt and then flour, 1 cup at a time while mixing (I use a stand mixer - Kitchenaid with a bread attachment). Add butter last and mix until dough pulls.

3
Done

Put a little oil on your hands and form a ball. Put the ball in a bowl and cover (eg with a towel) and let rise for one hour.

4
Done

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form 6 balls and place them on the sheet leaving room between each one. Let rise 1 hour.

5
Done

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush tops with either melted butter or egg wash (egg white mixed with a bit of water). Bake for 12 minutes. Serve.
