1 1/4 cup Milk
1 Lemon
4 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Lard

Homemade Buttermilk Bisquits (with no buttermilk or yeast)

These fluffy biscuits are quick and easy to make and require no buttermilk or yeast!

Make the "Buttermik"

add the juice of one lemon to the milk and let sit 10 minutes.

Mix the dry ingredients together. Add the lard in chunks and pulse with a mixer or mix with your hands by pinching it into the flour mixture. Add the milk and combine.

Drop the biscuit dough into a circular pie pan. Push them down a bit. Brush with butter if desired. Bake at 500°F for 10-12 minutes. Top with more melted butter if desired.
