Adjust Servings:
2 cups Beef stock or chicken stock
4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter or 2 Tbsp
1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
1/2 tsp Dried Rosemary
1/2 tsp Dried Sage
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
to taste Salt
to taste Black Pepper

Easy Homemade Gravy

This lowfat gravy is a perfect topping for spaetzle noodles, potatoes, beef, pork and more. You can substitue the beef stock for chicken stock and smother chicken breasts or turkey with this gravy as well.

Make a Roux

Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Note: I have also made this with only 2 Tbsp of butter, and it also worked well, but will not be as rich in flavor). With a whisk, quickly mix in the flour to form a paste.

Immediately pour in the beef stock and continue whisking briskly. Add the Worcestire sauce and the herbs and continue whisking. Season with salt and pepper.
