12 slices (eg thick Applewood smoked) Bacon

Preheat the oven to 375°F / 190°C. Line a baking tray if needed. I personally use a baking basket on top of a baking tray so the bacon gets crispy on both sides without having to flip it. |

Generously over the bacon with the maple syrup on both sides (eg by dipping or using a pastry brush). Season with cracked black pepper. |

If you need to flip - then bake for 20 minutes, flip, and bake for another 10-15 minutes. If you do not need to flip, then let bake for 30-35 minutes until crispy. |
