Make a RouxMelt the butter in a sauce pan. Note: I have also made this with only 2 Tbsp of butter, and it also worked well, but will not be as rich in flavor). With a whisk, quickly mix in the flour to form a paste. |

Immediately pour in the beef stock and continue whisking briskly. Add the Worcestire sauce and the herbs and continue whisking. Season with salt and pepper. |
