1/4 warm Water

1 cup Milk

4 Tbsp Butter

3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

2 Tbsp Honey

1 tsp Salt

a few sprigs Fresh Rosemary

Combine the yeast and warm water. Let activate for 10 min. |

Put the milk and butter in the microwave and heat until the butter is melted. Let cool. |

Add the salt, flour, cooled milk/butter mixture, honey, and chopped rosemary and knead until it forms a nice ball. Cover in an oiled bowl and let rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. |

Shape the roll balls. For best results, roll out, cut into equal pieces, and form a ball by stretching the dough over the top to form a smooth top (not pictured here). For quicker rolls, just make balls with your hands. Beat an egg with a splash of milk and brush onto each piece of dough. Let rise for 30 min. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired. |
