Ingredients

1 Tbsp (1pck) Active Dry Yeast
1/4 warm Water
1 cup Milk
4 Tbsp Butter
3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 Tbsp Honey
1 tsp Salt
a few sprigs Fresh Rosemary
For egg wash Egg

Homemade Honey Rosemary Rolls

The fresh Rosemary adds another layer of complexity to the taste of these honey Rosemary rolls.

Combine the yeast and warm water. Let activate for 10 min.

Put the milk and butter in the microwave and heat until the butter is melted. Let cool.

Add the salt, flour, cooled milk/butter mixture, honey, and chopped rosemary and knead until it forms a nice ball. Cover in an oiled bowl and let rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Shape the roll balls. For best results, roll out, cut into equal pieces, and form a ball by stretching the dough over the top to form a smooth top (not pictured here). For quicker rolls, just make balls with your hands. Beat an egg with a splash of milk and brush onto each piece of dough. Let rise for 30 min. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
