1/2 cup Brown Sugar

2 Tbsp Sambal Oelekor 2 tsp dried red chili flakes

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Soy Sauce

2 tsp (optional) Corn Starch

Combine all the ingredients except for the cornstarch in a sauce pan and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved. Note that you can substitue Sambal Oelek with 2 tsp of dried red chili flakes. |

If you prefer a thicker chili sauce, you can dissolve 2 tsp of corn starch in 1 Tbsp of water and mix it into the chili sauce. |
